La juventud es realmente poderosa. Ustedes están absorviendo los desafíos de nuestro mundo actual tanto como los adultos, seguramente más aún. Nos gustaría invitarlos a unirse con nosotros para tejer la esperanza en nuestras vidas y soñar nuestro futuro en un mundo mejor más grande, al estilo de los grandes recuerdos.

La memorabilia pueden ser objetos que creamos y que nos recuerdan nuestras inspiraciones, esperanzas y sueños. En esta actividad utilizaremos la botonería y el arte del collage para crear recordatorios de lo poderosos que podemos llegar a ser cuando empezamos a soñar.  Todos los materiales para hacer botones serán incluidos, así como revistas y papel para cortar para nuestros collages. También puedes traer tus propios materiales. Se recomienda el intercambio de ideas, pero no es obligatorio. No dudes en invitar a tus amigos.

¿Qué sueñas cuando te permites abrirte a lo imposible? Sabemos que lo que deseamos y soñamos para nosotros y nuestras comunidades es extraordinario y digno de ser conmemorado.

Mientras soñamos con lo que está a nuestro alcance, también es importante que nos mantengamos a salvo en el presente para poder alcanzar nuestro futuro. Durante esta oleada de COVID recomendamos especialmente hacerse la prueba de COVID antes de venir. Tenemos pruebas gratuitas y máscaras gratuitas para niñes y adultos.

When Kids Rule the World

Youth are truly powerful! Y'all are absorbing the challenges of our current world just as much as adults are, most likely even more. We would like to invite you to join us in weaving hope into our lives and dreaming our futures in a bigger better world, memorabilia style.

Memorabilia can be objects we create that remind us of our inspirations, hopes, and dreams! For this event we will use button making and collage art to create reminders of how powerful we can be once we begin to dream. This event is geared towards 9 years of age and up, based on the discussion topics, self managing a button maker and, cutting materials. All button making supplies will be provide with magazines and paper to cut for our collages! Feel free to bring any of your own supplies too. All around table discussion is encouraged but not mandatory. Feel free to invite your friends!

What do you dream of when you allow yourself to embrace the impossible? We know that what we desire and dream for ourselves and our communities are remarkable and worthy of being memorialized.

While we dream what is in our grasps, it also important that we keep ourselves and each other safe in the present so that we can reach our futures. During this COVID surge we highly recommend testing before coming in. We have free tests and free kid and adult masks.
