This workshop will discuss the current systems and structures that are harming and killing our communities in Asheville, and work towards creating a solid network for becoming our own defense and first response line.

Participants will illustrate how power-mapping can be used as a tool to show what resources we have, who is on our side and who is not, and to develop a concrete list of alternatives to policing. The purpose of this workshop is to share and build upon collective knowledge and to develop action steps for moving forward in opposition to the proposal of one million dollars for the police.
