Pink Pistols Intro to Firearms

A two part workshop by members of Pink Pistols Asheville designed to familiarize members of the queer community with firearms basics. Part one will include firearm safety plus operation, maintenance and ammunition selection for semi-automatic pistols, revolvers, semi-auto rifles, bolt-action rifles and break-action shotguns. Part two will focus on National Firearms Act regulations and AR-15 building.

Pink Pistols Asheville is a non-partisan social and educational group. They get together regularly at local firing ranges to practice shooting and to acquaint people new to firearms with them. Pink Pistols is dedicated to the legal, safe, and responsible use of firearms for self-defense of sexual/gender-minority communities. They believe that it is the not right of those who hate and fear gay, lesbian, bi, trans, or polyamorous persons to use us as targets for their rage.

This event will include the use of functional but unloaded guns. The facilitators will not bring ammunition and ask that no ammunition be present for the duration of the workshop.
To increase accessibility for high risk community members, Firestorm requires masking at all indoor events. Learn more
