Goffee

Black as Death

Every fourth Friday from April 2013 until September 2013

Directly from the organizers:

"Our group is open minded, very friendly and respectful. Our age range is
roughly 25-55 with the bulk around 35ish. Most of us are successful
professionals.

Our facebook group is 112ish members, but it was just created. Club
nights draw around 100. I suspect Goffee will draw at very least 15 to
maybe 30ish. Maybe more, this will be the first one.

Here is our FB Group, it's an open community so feel free to join or just check it out.

Q: What is Asheville Creatures of the Night?

A: Asheville Creature of the Night (ACoN) and the ACoN FB page is primarily a place to keep abreast of dark subculture events and activities as well as share and connect with other like minded creatures.

Q: Will ACoN host events?

A: Yes. Membership and activity will be a barometer of how big/often events are done. ACoN will also initiate themed gatherings.

Q: What Subcultures does ACoN cater to?
A: ACoN is inclusive rather than exclusive. If someone is interested in any aspect of the macabre they will likely be at home here. That being said, ACoN is primarily for (but not limited to) the Gothic Subculture, Punk/Dark Punk, Horror Punk, Steam Punk, Rockabilly/Psychobilly, Industrial, Rivetheads, Darkwavers, Fetish, Burlesque, Movie Monster Fanatics, Witches, Warlocks, Vampires, Zombies, black cats & bats, oh my!

Q: What Music would be played at events?

A: Goth (Goth Rock, Deathrock, Post Punk, Darkwave... depending on the theme perhaps Gothic Neo-Classical and/or Neo Folk) and Industrial. We
will also do some polls to see what people want to hear. Judging what I have seen so far from Shellshock event requests, it's very heavily weighted towards Classic Goth Rock/Post Punk(Siouxsie, Cure, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, Xmal etc) . So the format would be mostly classics with a dash of obscure and a sprinkle of new.

Q: What would ACoN like to see members sharing to the group wall?

A: All relevant events in Avl and the region, music, dark art, alt
models, poems, book recommendations, movie Recommendations,
clothing/accessory, designers (especially local), cool stores, restaurants, places... anything interesting."
