Last week members of our collective made our first book donation drop off at La Esperanza, a cooperatively-owned building purchased by the Emma community in 2019.

It's Our Close-iversary
One year ago today we closed Firestorm in response to COVID-19. While all this has gone down in the most unforgivably ruinous manner, today we're grateful that vaccination offers a pathway out of the crisis for those of us with the privilege of access.

In February, we received an email from Far Right activist and scourge of West Asheville Sanjit L Patel about the presence of his name on our list of "Lifetime Members." We wish to assure our community that we have never accepted money from Mr. Patel.
