"Something Happened In Our Town" Book Signing

Emory University professor and children's book author Marianne Celano, Ph.D. will sign copies of Something Happened In Our Town, a picture book that tackles racial unjustice.

Something Happened in Our Town follows two families — one White, one Black — as they discuss a police shooting of a Black man in their community. The story aims to answer children's questions about such traumatic events, and to help children identify and counter racial injustice in their own lives.

Marianne Celano, Ph.D., ABPP is a licensed psychologist who is board certified in Couple and Family Psychology. She directs the Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) program at Emory. Her clinical practice includes individual therapy for children, family therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
