Local poet and Carolina Day School student Aria Irani reads original poems about working through hardship. Aria wil be joined by fellow poet Bronwyn White, a student at SILSA Asheville High School.

you have the entire world in the palm of your hand.
so do not be discouraged by one earthquake
one sandstorm.
for this is only the beginning of a grand adventure
a rebirth and rebuilding.
we have risen from the ashes
filled with fury.
strength fills our veins.
hope for a better life than before.
you will look back at the entire world in your palm.
and you will smile for what you created.
