"Milo Writes" Poetry Reading

Those attending will be introduced to Milo Wright via the book Milo Writes as presented to you by their mother, Cindy Wright. She had the priveldge of assembling this book as the two of them had planned to do together, after Milo passed away at age twenty four in 2016.

Milo lived in Winston-Salem, NC but Asheville held a special place in their heart. They always felt it to be a safe space. The poetry they left behind takes a deep look at living with disabilities, gender fluidity, mental and physical health issues- all of which gave them a unique perspective on the world. This intimate collection contains their insights into balancing health, expectations, fashion, culture, connections, rejections, and basic survival with humor, hope and resilience. There will be an opportunity to buy the book and other related merchandise.
