Portraits of Palestine

Lives in the Shadow of the Occupation

"Portraits of Palestine" is a visual arts and oral history project which recounts stories of resistance of Palestinians living under Israeli occupation. The photographs and personal accounts were recorded during a two and a half week trip through cities and villages in the West Bank as well as the historical Palestine. These stories illustrate both the horrendous conditions Palestinians are subject to under Israeli oppression as well as the their steadfastness and dignity in the face of injustice.

Through individual "portraits" and audio interpretations of true stories, "Portraits of Palestine" tells the individual stories which make up the fabric of the greater collective struggle for justice and freedom in Palestine.
