Participants will complete the application to charter a local branch of the General Defense Committee and plan working groups to address the problems facing our community.

The GDC is the community organizing wing of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). A local GDC like the one starting here borrows from the techniques the IWW uses to organize at workplaces but takes them out into the community to fight fascism and oppression with working class solidarity.

If there's a problem affecting you or other workers in our community, bring it to the meeting! If you're already involved in a project, and want to tap into our resources, please bring that. If you're tired of oppression; if you're ready to resist; and you're looking for a place to start, you're welcome to join the GDC.
